In Loving Memory of Jennell B. Griffith On April 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, Jennell B Griffith transferred from her life at the age of 83. Jennell B. Griffith was born December 1,1942 and a resident of Amite, Louisiana. She lived a long, beautiful, and meaningful life by strength, grace, and unwavering devotion to her family and God. Jennell B. Griffith lived her life completely, faithful to her beliefs in God. She was the glue that held what was left of the family together. There wasn't a day or night she didn't pray and lift her loved ones in Christ’s name. She was one of the most generous and giving people I have ever known. She showed me that anything is possible when you just have faith you hold on. She taught me to be a strong and loving mother to my children. My girls grew up loving her and being able to see someone else’s mother that has always inspired to be like hers. Jennell was a very amazing, beautiful, gorgeous daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother. She always prayed over all of us. Jennell B Griffith was a woman never really grew old. Her smiles were made of sunshine and her heart was made of gold. Jennell leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving children, of Amite LA Rebecker (Morris Bankson), of Gray LA Jack Jr (Diana Griffith), and of Amite LA Thomas J (Cassandra Griffith). She was a proud grandmother of 8 grandchildren, Jack Lloyd Griffith, Jonathon Everett Griffith (Jennifer Griffith), Brooke Ussery (Taylor Ussery), Madison Woodard, Tiffany M (Samuel Daniels), Natasha N. Griffith, Jared Bankston, and Jessica Dupre; she was also blessed with 18 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren; She is also survived by her siblings, Rosemary Parnell, Christine Allen, Janice Pence, James Bennett . Jennell was preceded in death her parents, mother Mrs. Verlise Howell Bennett and father Mr. Thomas J. Bennett; her beloved husband, Mr. Jack Everett Griffith Sr.; her sisters, Maxine Solely, Essie Maye Parnell, and Eunice Martin; and her brothers, Thomas J. Bennett and J.W. Bennett; her children, Jeffrey Lee Griffith and Katherine Woodard Griffith; granddaughter, Crystal Sanders Bergeron Azadi, and great grandson Logan Bergeron. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to a visitation at Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home on 12012 Hwy 190 West Hammond, La 70401 on Saturday, April 18, 2026, starting at 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Howell Cemetery.
