Paul G. Richardson

Paul G. Richardson was born on October 26, 1947, in his family home located in Baptist, Louisiana. He went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who will be missed dearly. He loved to hunt, fish, overfeed the fish, watch old westerns, and spend time with his family. In his earlier life, Paul was a licensed carpenter and a member of the Carpenters Local Union 1098. In his later career, Paul, alongside his wife, owned and operated Paul’s Quickstop located in Holden and Albany. Serving his community for over 20 years brought Paul and Diane joy and relationships they have cherished for a lifetime. Paul is survived by his wife of 58 years, Diane Richardson; their children, Gary Richardson and wife Danielle, and Dawn Lott and husband Nathan. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Garrett Richardson and wife Madelynn, Haylie Richardson, Alyssa Osborne and husband Luke, Alayna Cole and husband Benjamin, Brayden Lott and wife Madison. In addition, he was blessed with four great-grandchildren, Grey Cannino, Elliot Cannino, Esther Richardson, and John Paul (JP) Osborne. He was looking forward to the birth of two additional great grandchildren in July and September of 2026. He is further survived by his sister, Edna Lorraine Cowart. Preceding Paul in death by his parents, Sadie Harris Richardson and Charles L. Richardson Jr., brother Charles “Danny” Richardson, along with grandparents, Edna Owens Harris and Willard Harris, Lorene Thornberry Richardson, Charles Richardson Sr., and Margaret Hood Richardson. Also preceding in death were his aunts, Lillian Hillis, Ella Mae Core, and Catherine Harris, and uncles Julius C. (JC) Harris and Floyd Harris. He was also preceded in death by a great friend and cousin, Roy Harris. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation in the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home 12012 Hwy. 190 W. Hammond, LA 70401, on Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The visitation will resume on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. Services will be officiated by Dr. Nathan Lott and Rev.
